Pit Bull Appreciation Day is almost here! Please register! This no-contact community dog event will take place at Colorado Lagoon (map below) at 5119 E Colorado St at Nieto in Long Beach and features fun & activities for you & your dog, including lots of fun activities and enrichment for your dog, a scavenger hunt, photo booths, games, an opportunity drawing for a full size Paw Paws Large or Medium Dog Treadmill (local pick up only), pack walks, training demos, adoptable dogs, Day of the Dead Pet Memorial Altar, *donation drive for displaced dogs & their humans, community resources & more! Help us build community around the dogs we love. Our partners: Zoom Room Long Beach, K9 Kismet Dog Rescue, HEART LA, Long Beach Animal Care, LBC Cookie Co, Chunkz & Tubz Rescue, K9 Kennel Evictions, Bubz & Pupz, Helpful Paws and Emerson's Ruff! Your donation helps pay for the free resources and community support we provide. All breeds, mixes, and  sizes are welcome! 10 feet of space MINIMUM between dogs, please, and six-foot or shorter leashes. No retractable leashes please. NO DOG INTROS. This event is free to the public, but your donation helps support our community assistance programs, which provides free behavior, housing and medical support. Please respect others' space and keep you and your dog safe. Your attendance means that you agree to be responsible for your safety and the safety of your dog. Watch out for each other.

*To donate to displaced dogs & their humans without homes, please bring the following for collection on the day of the event. For the animals: Small bags of dog food , 4lb (any brand), Small bags cat food, Wet cat & dog food, Collapsible bowls, Poop bags, Flea meds, all sizes , dogs / cats *Wondercide on the topicals, Martingale / leash combos medium /large, Harness / leash combo small / xsmall dogs, Dewormer, Carabiners, Leashes. For the people: Gallon of water with handle, Body wipes, Mouth wash, Hair ties, Individually wrapped granola bars, crackers , ready meal tuna, fruit cups, Individual wrapped snacks of any sort, socks.
